Bodega Benito Santos is a winery located in Vilanova de Arousa (Pontevedra), in the northwest of Spain. It is situated just 500 metres from the sea. They have three vineyards of their own, and their philosophy is to produce high-quality wines; they believe that wine is born in the vineyard.
They currently have three old vineyards. The care and respect they have for the environment result in the best Albariños of the area.
Benito Santos Mencía is a wine made from Mencía , from plots that are over 25 years old, planted with vines on granite and slate soils.
Harvesting is carried out manually, selecting the grapes in the winery. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature, and the malolactic fermentation is spontaneous.
Benito Santos Mencía is a smooth, balanced and tasty wine. It stands out for its aromas of wild berries. It is one of the most elegant Mencías in the area.
