Characteristics of Avanthia Rosé
Avanthia Rosé is a Mencía single-varietal rosé wine by Bodegas Avanthia situated in Valdehorras, a winery belonging to the Grupo Jorge Ordóñez.
This wine is made of grapes from Southerly facing vineyards, planted in slaty soils on slopes that range up to 400 metres above sea level. The harvest is manual and after being selected on the sorting table, the grapes go through the "sangrado" process (bleeding the grapes to obtain the liquid). The fermentation takes place in French oak barrels and the wine then ages on its lees for 3 months.
