Características de Aván Terruño de Valdehernando

The new vintage Aván Terruño de Valdehernando is a vintage classed as excellent from Ribera del Duero.
Bodegas y Viñedos Juan Manuel Burgos is a winery responsible for the production of Avan Terruño de Valdehernando, a red wine from a vineyard that is naturally treated and they search for the smallest addition of sulphur during the vinification. The winery was established in 1996 by Juan Manuel, although the past generations were dedicated to the world of wine. In 2000, after planting new vines that were clones from the ones his grandfather planted, the first AVAN crop was born.

This wine is a single variety Tinta del País (100%). Avan Terruño de Valdehernando comes from Valdehernando, a 80 year old vineyard. The aging is 18 months in new French oak barrels.

Tasting notes Aván Terruño de Valdehernando

Sight Stunning picota cherry colour, almost black with ripe cherry hues in the rim. Clean and bright. Slow-falling, dense, dark tears stain the glass. Nose

Expressive, concentrated, clean and intense. Floral aromas join together with powerful, juicy, ripe black fruit and liquorice which gradually gives way to a whole range of aromas…balsamic, sweet spices, aromatic herbs, minty, milky, roasted aromas. Very interesting.

Taste Very structured. Good and powerful attack, yet restrained and elegant, warming and enveloping the mouth. Ripe, integrated tannins and fantastic acidity that adds depth and defines this wine. Long and very persistent finish. A forceful and feminine Ribera del Duero.

Sight Pretty intense cherry colour, almost opaque with purple trims. Bright wine with dense tear. Nose Expressive and intense aromas of ripe fruit, especially red, accompanied by fragrant flowers on a strong background of creamy notes and good touches of toasted provided by the oak. Taste Very tasty Ribera de Duero wine, with a wide attack, which quickly fills the mouth with immense feelings. Powerful, warm, fleshy and velvety mid palate with candied fruit and creamy notes that give way to the notes of good quality wood. Good structure. Sweet and fine tannins. Very elegant, long and lingering finish.
Sight The blue and red trim show a young wine that has remained unalterated in their aging process.
Nose The aromas reminiscent of a great fragrance, the flowers on the predominant fruits, spices, etc ... Elegant, fine and long.
Taste In the mouth it is creamy, sweet tooth and a final surprise for the elegance and power that leaves at once.
