Characteristics of Atlantis Albariño
Atlantis Albariño is a white wine from the D.O Rías Baixas produced by the winery Maetierra. As it name suggests, this a monovarietal from the grape Albariño.
The temperatures in the region are gentle. The abundance of rainfall, is however constant.
Atlantis Albariño is located in the vineyards of Condado de Tea, very close to the river Miño. The soils are sandy with a granite base.
The harvest is completed by hand with plastic containers. The grapes, once is the winery are presses and selected. After the production of the must, the alcoholic fermentation process begins in stainless steel containers at a controlled 18ºC.
Atlantis Albariño is then finally racked to separate the lees. Before being bottled, the wine is stabilised in the cold.
Atlantis Albariño is a part of the Atlantis series produced by Vintae. The project, managed by the well know oenologist Raúl Acha, produces Atlantic wines from a very small selection of vineyards from different appellations of origins (D.O).

The Albariño grape is a spanish white variety with a strong floral and terpene character, ideal for producing not only young fresh and aromatic whites, but also (barrel) aged wines. Initially the DO. Rías Baixes was only seen as a region of great hope for Spanish whites, but it has managed to turn this hope into reality.
In Rioja land of the Ebro valley, a few steps from the city of Calahorra lenari Bimil, and on the same road of the Camino de Santiago Aragon, stands the castle of Maetierra. Under his watchful eye, in the land of immemorial past, grow their vines, gilded by the sun in the valleys of Sadacia. More than 350 hectares (from which you are 80 varieties of white wine) form Maetierra. A horticultural farm, which grow all kinds of products of the earth, many of them organic.
