Characteristics of AT Roca Costers
AT Roca Costers is a white wine made by AT Roca with the Macabeo, Malvasía de Sitges and Xarel·lo varieties in the D.O. Penedès (Catalonia).
Agustí Torelló Sibill left the family winery and two years later, with his two sons Jordi and Agustí, he set up his own project called AT Roca. With several plots spread throughout Penedès, they use ecological viticulture and careful enology to showcase the area as honestly as possible.
AT Roca Costers is a coupage that comes from 5 hectares of Macabeo, 2.5 hectares of Malvasía de Sitges and 1.2 hectares of Xarel·lo. These vines are planted 235 to 420 metres above sea level on calcareous soils. They are all cultivated using organic products instead of chemical products.
In the winery, the AT Roca Costers grapes are gently pressed and the resulting must ferments in stainless steel tanks for 25 days. It is then aged for 4 months on lees.
AT Roca Costers is an aromatic, fresh and mineral coupage. The most Mediterranean expression of Penedès.
