Characteristics of Alma de Tobía Rosado
Alma Tobia Rosado is a rose wine made by Bodegas Tobia in La Rioja.
Bodegas Tobia was the first winery to produce a rose fermented in barrel. Alma Tobia Rosado is a blend composed mainly of Tempranillo and Graciano varieties, with a small percentage of Merlot.
Alma Tobia Rosado is designed in a minimalist way, with the least possible intervention for maximum expression of fruit and wood.
The vinification of each variety is done separately. The grapes macerate with the skins for 36 hours at a low temperature. After the maceration is complete, there is the bleeding of wine, which is then fermented in new French oak barrels of fine grain.
Alma Tobia Rosado is aged for five months in these same barrels, periodically removing the lees. After the aging, the final assembly of the three varieties is performed.
