A Coroa 200 Cestos is a very special white wine from the D.O. Valdeorras since it is made of 100% Godello grapes from the best vineyard of the winery, which has hundred-year-old vines planted on terraces. Due to the location, orientation and altitude of this plot, the full potential of Godello grapes is obtained, standing out the elegance, complexity and traditional aromatic power of this variety and enhanced by a greater colour intensity, freshness and fruity background. A Coroa is a family winery but, even though, it counts on current and modern wine-making facilities. The philosophy of this winery is to produce quality wines by means of a rational and modern vine-growing. Stephen Tanzer rated three wines from Bodega A Coroa as the best Spanish white wines in the International Wine Cellar 2013. 200 Cestos 2012 scored 93 points out of 100.

This Denomination of Origin occupies part of the beautiful valleys of the rivers Sil and Jares in the Northeast of the province of Orense. Vineyards line the slopes of the mountains that frame the river valleys and at the bottom of them, occupying floors slate of very good physical condition and adequate fertility, sometimes on steep slopes. The variety of higher quality and prestige, among whites, is the Godello, white wine grape that provides very fine fruity and floral aroma and excellent structure in the mouth. Next to this is the providing variety Tinta Mencia reds, purple, intense and elegant aroma and soft fleshy fruit not without its nerve.
The López Vicente family, originally from Vilamartín de Valdeorras (Ourense), and Roberto Fernández García got together in 2002 to make quality wines. They decided to found Bodega A Coroa, a winery that is a tribute to their ancestors, to their effort and commitment.
