Characteristics of 1954 Xarel·lo

1954 Xarel·lo is a white wine made by Costador Terroir Mediterranis. The project is made up of different vineyards located in different areas in the south of Catalonia, with different varieties and on different soil. Their estates are made up of old vineyards aged between 60 and 110 years old, and they are cultivated using ecological and biodynamic viticulture.

1954 Xarel·lo 
comes from a vineyard located in the Garraf mountain range (Penedès), situated 2 kilometres from the coast and planted on limestone soil.

This wine is made with an initial cold-prefermentation and a later maceration of the entire grape for two days. Once it has been pressed, it is transferred to amphoras where it ferments at a temperature of 10ºC with its own yeast. After spontaneous malolactic fermentation, it ages in old barrels for 8 months.

1954 Xarel·lo is a white wine without any added oenological products.
