Val Frison Cuvee L'Eclos de la Côte is a champagne made with the Chardonnay variety by Val Frison in Champagne.
Val Frison is a small family winery run by Valeria Frison, a winemaker who is committed to biodynamic agriculture and this is clear to see in her 6 hectares located in the Champagne region, in the town of Ville-sur-Arce. She, along with other winemakers in the area, have turned this area around and revived one of the less well-known areas of Champagne. Frison produces fresh champagnes, with good body and a mineral background. These wines are also environmentally friendly and there is zero dosage.
Val Frison Cuvee L'Eclos de la Côte comes from vineyards planted in mainly calcareous soil. They are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture, with biological techniques and biodynamic practices that allow the maximum expression of the terroir to be extracted while maintaining its natural balance. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
Val Frison Cuvee L'Eclos de la Côte ferments with native yeasts in used French oak barrels. It then ages on lees in barrels and for a longer period in the bottle. It is not filtered or clarified and no sugar is added. Only a minimal amount of SO2 is added (no more than 28 mg/l.)
Val Frison Cuvee L'Eclos de la Côte is a very limited production organic champagne. An elegant, curious and very exciting sparkling wine.
