Raventós i Blanc de la Finca is a cava made by Raventós i Blanc, a winery with more than 500 years experience in the sector, located in the centre of the wine making area in Alt Penedès, the land of cava.  
The climate in Alt Penedès is Mediterranean, characterised by soft winters and warm and dry summers, where temperatures are fresh during the ripening period.
This cava is a coupage of varieties Xarel·lo (54%), Macabeu(30%) and Parellada (16%) grown on 9 plots located on the slopes of the Serral hill which is north/north east facing.
The vines are planted in poor limestone soils in organic matter.
An ecological viticulture is done in biodynamic transformation.
Composted manure is added in winter and a short pruning is done in the pots. There are observations of the vines to prevent diseases occurring and grapes are left out of the sun to avoid burns.
As for the production, once they have the grapes in the winery, they are slowly pressed at a low pressure. Afterwards, there is a static racking at low temperatures.
The first fermentation is in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature. Once they are assembled, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle for a minimum of 3 years in rhyme.
Raventós i Blanc de la Finca represents the interaction between the soil, the microclimate, the plant, the animals and a human team; all of these factors influence the production of the cava.

Raventós are a family with a long tradition in Catalonia. Their winemaking history goes back to 1497, and Raventós i Blanc likes to tell that the first cavas created in 1872 by his ancestor, Josep Raventós Fatjó, were made with Xarello grapes for his farm. This family's history is linked to the history of Codorníu until 1984, when Josep María Raventós i Blanc and his son, Manuel Raventós, decided to start their own project with the historic farm, with 90 hectares of vines. Here, they built a new winery surrounding the old family oak tree, the symbol and icon of the project: the winery Raventós i Blanc.
