L'Efecte Volador is a red wine from  D.O. Montsant produced by Josep Grau Viticultor.
This wine is a coupage of Garnacha, Samsó, and Syrah grown from a 25 hectare vineyard with old vines from 30 to 50 years old.
During production, the fermentation takes place in cement tanks for a period of 10 days. The aging is 50% in French oak casks for the first and second years and 50% in cement deposits.

For Josep Grau, winegrower and oenologist, his obsession is the selection of the vineyard, and his final goal is to make the best wines, authentic and exciting. He works with a puzzle of small vineyards in the municipalities of Marçà, Capçanes and Falset, each with its particular mineral richness, with clay, calcareous, granite and slate soils that provide, together with an extreme and unpredictable climate, genuine wines, superb, rich, and with the identity of fruit and terroir.
Montsant is situated in the province of Tarragona, surrounding the DOQ Priorat. Although a young Denominación de Origen, Monstant is located in a land with a large history in winemaking. The wines, mostly reds, are typically made with Grenache and Carignan grapes and are authentic, wild and artisanal. Wines produced in this region are usually extremely good value given the high quality.
