Characteristics Izadi Crianza
Izadi Crianza is a red wine from the D.O La Rioja produced by Bodegas Izadi, which belongs to Grupo Artevino. The wine is a monovarietal of Tempranillo, the grape of excellence for the region.
The grapes used to produce Izadi Crianza originate from 178ha, where 70ha are owned by the winery, these are old vines, aged at around 45 years old.
The lands are triangular shaped, which is represented on the label, formed by the towns of Villabuena, Samaniego and Ábalos.
The vines grow in calcareous-clay soils located on slopes. The climate in La Rioja is Atlantic, although with certain Mediterranean influences.
The harvest is performed manually, taking the utmost care to transport the grapes. Once in the winery, the grapes for Izadi Crianza are destemmed and undergo a gentle pressing.
The must is then fermented alcoholically and malolactically in stainless steel vats.
The last stage before being bottled, Izadi Crianza is aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels.

Izadi Crianza 2015 is a juicy wine with a certain degree of concentration. It is a modern Crianza with a extra point of ripening and extraction. As a result, we have a wine with prevailing aromas of black fruit, spices and balsamic notes, very pleasant in the mouth.

In the mouth, we find an elegant and balanced Spanish wine with a silky and pleasant mid palate full of notes of fruit. It shows a good acidity and soft ripe tannins. Long finish with fruity and floral aftertaste.
