Estación Yumbel Tinaja Moscatel 2019 is an aromatic red wine with a golden yellow colour and a certain turbidity. On the nose it is citric, floral and very mineral. On the palate it is extremely light, refreshing and delicious. A fruity, medium acidity wine with a slightly salty and enveloping finish.

Estación Yumbel Tinaja Moscatel is an orange wine made by Estación Yumbel with the Moscatel variety in the D.O. Bío Bío, in the Southern Wine Region (Chile).
 
Yumbel Station is a small project run by Mauricio González Carreño, a member of the Chilean Association of Traditional Peasant Wine Producers (PVCh), that was set up in 2014 with the aim of recovering forgotten vineyards and ancient techniques to make simple, peasant wines that reflect the area’s personality and pure character. 
 
Estación Yumbel Tinaja Moscatel comes from 80-year-old vines planted on granite soils. These are old vines that are cultivated in the most natural way possible, with no irrigation and no chemicals. The harvest is carried out manually and early to achieve more acidity in the grapes and more freshness in the wines.
 
In the winery, Estación Yumbel Tinaja Moscatel is made with minimal intervention. To do this, the grapes ferment with native yeasts in clay jars and the wine stays there for 4 months in true traditional Chilean countryside style. Finally, the wine is bottled without being clarified, filtered or adding sulphites.
 
Estación Yumbel Tinaja Moscatel is a “peasant” wine that was created with the aim of recovering the traditional agricultural heritage of the Spanish colonial people. An “a poto pelao” (natural) wine that reveals origin, history and terroir.
