Claus Preisinger Ancestral St. Laurent is a biodynamic, natural, organic and vegan sparkling wine made by Claus Preisinger with the Saint Laurent local variety in Burgenland (Austria).
The youngest member of the Pannobile group, Claus Preisinger is known for being one of the new generation Austrian winemakers. Like the rest of the group, Claus is a winemaker who champions the unique character of the terroir, local varieties and biodynamic principles. This focus results in natural, pure and highly acclaimed wines.
Claus Preisinger Ancestral St. Laurent comes from vines planted on gravel, limestone and marl soils in the town of Gols (Neusiedl). He uses biodynamic agriculture with organic treatments, avoiding chemical products that could harm the natural balance of the terroir. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
Claus Preisinger Ancestral St. Laurent is a sparkling wine made according to the ancient method. Once the grapes have been pressed and there is a resulting must, it ferments spontaneously. Before the fermentation process has finished, it is bottled and closed with a lid so that carbon dioxide is naturally created.
Made with an unusual local grape, Claus Preisinger Ancestral St. Laurent is an example of the expertise this viticulturist has when it comes to producing wines using the ancient method. A whirlwind of fruit and juiciness.
