Cérvoles Garnatxa

Cérvoles Garnatxa is a red wine produced by Cérvoles Celler in La Pobla de Cérvoles (Lleida), D.O.Costers del Segre.

Cérvoles Celler was founded by the Cusiné family, vinifying their first harvest in 1997. A careful selection of the grapes bunches and the exceptional care of the vineyards, allow the winery to produce wines of the highest quality.

Cérvoles Celler has 32 hectares of vineyards and modern technology designed to maximise the quality of its products.

The vineyards, planted at the end of the 70s, are distributed in 10 plots located between 700 and 800 metres of altitude.

The climate of this area is of continental, with exceptionally cold winters and scorching summers. The average annual temperature is around 14°C-15°C.

Cérvoles Garnatxa is a wine made from Grenache, from their own vineyards, located at more than 700 meters of altitude on soils with a lot of gravel, with a loamy-clayey texture and with good water retention.

The harvest is carried out manually. Once it arrives at the winery, it is destemmed and then goes through cold maceration. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature. Once the fermentation has ended, some of the wine remains in these deposits and some satys in 4000-litre oak barrels.

Cérvoles Garnatxa is a juicy, sweet and fresh wine. The mixed ageing respects and maximises the fruit, providing notes of ripe red fruits bathed in liqueur.
