Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Castell de Sant Antoni Gran Reserva Brut Nature is a cava from the Cava region produced by the Castell de Sant Antoni winery. It is a blend of the varieties Xarel.lo (40%), Parellada (20%) and Chardonnay (15%).

The winery has several vineyards, most of which are situated on the family farm The Sot in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia which span about four hectares. The vineyard enjoys a climate ideal for growing grapes. From the grounds of Castell Sant Antoni also you can enjoy privileged views.

After harvesting the grapes, they are taken quickly to the winery. The first stage of fermentation takes place seperately. After this stage, the different varieties are blended.

The must of Castell Sant Antoni Gran Brut subsequently fermentes in the bottle following conventional methods. Before it is marketed, it is aged for 48 months on its lees in the bottle and then undergoes disgorging.

Castell Sant Antoni is located in the town of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, about 40 kilometers from Barcelona. Patience and finesse are the secrets of this winerys success.

The winery Castell Sant Antoni is a small winery located in Sant Sadurni d'Anoia but designed to make great cavas.
Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
