Bumester Ruby Port has an attractive, deep ruby color. Young, intense nose with a fruity character reminiscent of wild cherries. On the palate the presence of very elegant light tannins stands out.
Burmester Ruby Port is a port from the Burmester wineries from different vintages of old vineyards located in the Douro area of Portugal.
Slate and granite are the predominant rocks at Quinta do Arnozelo, the site where Burmester Ruby Port’s history begins, covering some 100 hectares (located 350 meters above sea level). There, different varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Amarela are cultivated.
In the case of Burmester ruby Port a blend of different harvests (harvested by hand) have been chosen and gently pressed to take care of the grapes. Aged for a minimum of 3 years in oak barrels, it’s bottled young in order to preserve its freshness and youth.
The latter gives Burmester Ruby Port a freshness and bright color which make it a true diamond in the rough.
