Summer is here. It's time to celebrate!

After an intense year of restrictions and lockdown, we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now that we can start enjoying the good weather in good company, there is no better way to celebrate than with some excellent recommendations for the month of June. An intense month that reminds us that summer is here and that it's time to enjoy it like never before.

Our 6 recommendations for June

4 Kilos

This is a bestseller that triumphs wherever it goes. The flagship product from a winery that was set up with a modest investment of “4 kilos”, a colloquial way of saying 4 million pesetas (about 24,000 euros). This red wine is respectfully made, with minimal intervention, using the native Callet variety. This is a delightful way to get into the Mediterranean atmosphere of Majorca, in the Balearic Islands (Spain).

Flor de Muga Rosado

A cool rosé is always a good choice for enjoying on a terrace. If you choose a bestseller like Flor de Muga, even better. Made by Muga, one of Haro’s historic wineries in the D.O. Ca. Rioja, this is a single-variety Garnacha Tinta made from old vines. It is elegant, fresh and very pleasant. Undoubtedly, a great rosé with an unmistakable Muga style that crosses borders.

Tissot Arbois DD

If you want to try something unique this summer, try Tissot Arbois DD, a natural, biodynamic and organic red wine. Its creator Stéphane Tissot says that, unlike with industrial wines, which are all the same, there are no two wines alike on the planet. Made from the Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir varieties, this is an exclusive wine, the result of the unique expression of the terroir. A true Jura gem.

Crystallum Mabalel

Another new wine for this June is Crystallum Mabalel. This is a smooth red wine made in the Walker Bay area in south-west South Africa. This is where brothers Andrew and Peter-Allan Finlayson were inspired by the local tradition to create a single-variety Pinot Noir with fresh acidity, fine tannins and aged for 11 months. Undoubtedly, a fabulous wine.

Mainque Chardonnay by Jean Marc Roulot & Piero Incisa

Argentina is a country that inspires new winemakers. Jean Marc Roulot & Piero Incisa’s project is a great example of this. One is a former French actor, and the other, the son of an Italian aristocrat. They both settled in the Rio Negro Valley in Patagonia and, using organic and biodynamic viticulture, they have produced an intense and energetic Chardonnay that is the perfect introduction to the little-known but surprising whites from this part of the New World.

L'Antica Quercia Sú Alto

Last but not least, our sommelier recommends you celebrate with a sparkling wine designed for the summer. L'Antica Quercia Sú Alto is a colfondo, a typical wine from the Veneto area (Italy) made with the native Glera variety and, unlike prosecco, it undergoes a secondary fermentation in the bottle. This results in a fresh, light and bubbly sparkling wine that is perfect for sipping in the hot weather.

Having seen these recommendations, we think you will be able to find plenty of occasions to enjoy them. So, what are you waiting for? Order as soon as you can and we will deliver them to wherever you would like. Whether you are by yourself or in company, we’re sure you'll have a great summer.
