Beronia Reserva is a red wine from the Rioja región, produced by Beronia,a winery founded in 1973 by a group of businessmen and friends of a Gastronomic society .

González Byass joined Beronia in 1982 and helped it grow to be one of the top 6 Spanish Rioja wineries. The winery is located at the heart of La Rioja Alta.The climate in this area is moderately continental with a Cantabrian influence, characterized by a significant change in temperature between night and day.
This wine is a blend of Tempranillo , Mazuelo and Graciano grapes which originate from old vineyards located between 380 and 500 metres above sea level. These vineyards are planted in loose soils containing clay, limestone and iron. With regards to ripening, this wine spends a minimum of 20 months in mixed barrels of French and American oak. Subsequently, it remains in the bottle for 18 months before reaching the market.

Tasting notes Beronia Reserva

On the palate, this wine is both sweet, fleshy and fruity. Cherry and strawberry notes appear alongside those of liquorice. There is a balanced acidity and silky tannins. The taste comes across as both long and elegant.

Dark cherry red, clean and bright.

To the nose, it shows complexity. There are essences of cloves and cinnamon, together with notes of candied fruit and a base of dark chocolate.

An appetising wine with a fleshy, fruity palate. Cherries and strawberries accompany the liquorice from the tempranillo and caress the palate. The balanced acidity and silky tannins promise a long and elegant passage in the mouth.

Deep cherry colour, clean and bright.

Delicate, complex aromas, both in the nose and on the palate. Essences of spices like clove and cinnamon lead on to notes of fruity jam, undergrowth and balsamic touches, with dark chocolate in the background.

Voluminous attack. Very tasty, warm and silky mid palate with presence of notes of red fruit. Good acidity that provides it with freshness. Equilibrado. Powerful and very well integrated tannins. Very nice, long and lingering finish. A very elegant, sweet and balanced wine.

Intense cherry colour with very bright tile red trims. Well covered. Good and dense legs.

Intense and expressive magnificent notes of red fruit with notes of cream, bakery and sweet spices on an elegant background of refined wood (toasted, cocoa).

Medium bodied with good acidity, fresh, lively, with good fruit and a persistent final.

Elegant aromas of spices, cocoa, snuff, jam and ripe strawberries fund.

Beronia was founded in 1973 by a small Gipuzkoan gastronomic society to produce wines only for its own consumption. Nowadays, it belongs to the group of wineries of González Byass, and is one of the Spanish wineries of reference both at a national and international level. Their search for excellence is present throughout the process of producing its wines, which is carried out in the purest and traditional Riojan style, with its own personality, but also leaving the imprint of its renowned "Beronia style".
