Characteristics Barón de Chirel Reserva

Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Barón de Chirel Reserva is a D.O. Rioja red wine by one of the most classic wineries in the Marqués de Riscal area.
A coupage between Tempranillo (80 percent) and other varieties (20 percent). The grapes are from a selection of very old vines, 80-110 years old, with low yields that are of very high quality.

Barón de Chirel Reserva is only produced in great vintages with a very limited production. Following its manual harvest and passage through the sorting table, it is fermented at a controlled temperatuere of 26ºC and a maceration that does exceed 12 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in wooden casks and ageing later takes place for 20 months in French oak barrels. It is refined in the bottle for at least a year before being put on the market.

Talking about Marqués de Riscal means talking about prestige, innovation, non-conformism and quality, values that have been shown since 1858, when this winery was founded.
We are in front of the oldest wineries within the D.O. Rioja, essential in the birth of the D.O. Rueda and with no doubt, one of the most daring and pioneering wineries due to its way of understanding the wine industry.
