AN/2 is a red wine produced by the Ànima Negra winery in the region of Mallorca.
The Ànima Negra winery is a relatively new winery, which was founded in 1994 with the idea of making quality wines yet remaining faithful to the character of the island by using local varieties in their processes.
Ànima Negra is a purely Mallorcan blend, consisting of Callet, Mantonegro and Fogoneu varieties, along with a small percentage of Syrah. The climate in this area is purely Mediterranean, with large changes in temperature between the hot summers, with highs easily exceeding 30 ° C and cold winters. Rainfall is concentrated in the autumn.
The harvest is done manually in small boxes of 10kg, and the grapes are manually selected. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel and cement tanks of 7,000 to 10,000 litres at a maximum temperature of 27ºC.
After fermentation, a long maceration of between 15 and 20 days takes place. The malolactic fermentation occurs in cement tanks. AN/2 is aged for 13 months in barrels of French and American oak.

Cherry colour with violet edges. Dense tear.

In the background, intense and pleasant mineral notes are noticed.

Intense and very expressive aromas with some red fruit and a touch of liquor and creamy spicy background. As the wine opens up, powerful mineral sensations appear together with hints of milk, cocoa, snuff, coffee and spices, specially vanilla.
