1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes is a white wine from Rías Baixas produced by the Palacio de Fefiñanes winery. This winery is located in Cambados, Pontevedra and has been producing wines for nearly a decade, since 1928.

1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes is a varietal Albariño. The vineyards are planted on loam granitic soils in the valley of Salnés.

Developing 1583 Albariño de Fefiñanes starts with a harvest during the first week of October. Once in the winery, must fermentation occurs in barrels from Bordeaux.

After the fermentation process, the wine is aged for four months in Bordeaux barrels, with "batonnage" and two more months in stainless steel tanks.

"Such as happens with people, the closest a wine is to its origin, the closest to its truth." This is one of the principles of the winery Palacio de Fefiñanes. And, after all, most of their wines clearly show their land's flavours and landscape. They also have the brightness of a singular grape variety: the evocative, powerful Albariño, with its distinct Atlantic character.

Rías Baixas wines would not be where they are today without the native Albariño grape variety. Although red wines are also produced in Rías Baixas, practically 100% of Rías Baixas wines are white. Among them, the vast majority of them are made with the Albariño grape. As well as young wines, fresh and aromatic, the region also makes wines aged in the barrels, complex wines with great personalities. Albariño wines can either be single varieties, or be part of a blend with other characteristic grapes of the region: Treixadura, Loureira Blanca and Godello.
