About Mas Candí Brut Nature

Mas Candí Brut Nature is a sparkling wine produced by the winery Mas Candí in Avinyonet del Penedès (Alt Penedès).

Mas Candí is a winery built in 2006 with the aim of producing its own wines from the vineyards planted by their grandparents. With the utmost respect for the environment and in harmony with the landscape, they work organically with indigenous varieties, reviving almost forgotten Catalan grapes.

Mas Candí has over 55 hectares of its own vineyards located at the entrance to the Massís del Garraf Natural Park. Thus, they benefit from diverse terroirs, altitudes, and microclimates, allowing them to vinify different grape varieties under the most suitable conditions.

Mas Candí Brut Nature is a sparkling wine made from xarel·lo, macabeo, and parellada from their own vineyards planted on clay-limestone soils, harvested by hand. After picking, the grapes are crushed and pressed to obtain the must, which is transferred to fermentation tanks for the first alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts. It is then bottled, and Mas Candí Brut Nature rests in the winery until the second fermentation in the bottle, with a minimum ageing of 12 months, after which disgorgement is carried out without adding dosage.
