About L’Anglore Prima

L’Anglore Prima is a biodynamic, natural and ecological barrel-aged red wine made by the L’Anglore French winery in the Rhone (France) with the Garnacha Tinta, Clairette and Cinsault varieties.

Éric Pfifferling is a prestigious French winemaker who is now known for being one of the most respectful vintners when it comes to his soil and plants. Although he started as a farmer selling grapes from his grandfather’s vineyards, at the beginning of the year 2000 he decided to set up the L’Anglore winery and make his own natural wines. He has become a genius in the art of expressing the delicacy of grape varieties on the western side of the Rhone.

Located in Tavel, a town in southern France, he works his 7 hectares of vineyards without any chemicals. The grapes used to make the L’Anglore Prima red wine come from old vines planted in red clay, sand and galets. The team works with ecological agriculture and biodynamic treatments, and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

Éric Pfifferling is the only producer in Tavel who works without intervention in the winery, making L’Anglore Prima the most natural red wine. It ferments spontaneously with native yeasts and is allowed to rest in barrels. When the wine is ready, it is bottled without filtering, clarifying or adding sulfur.

Made in Tavel, known for its rosé wines, the L’Anglore Prima red is an easy-drinking gift. A juicy and fresh red made with minimum intervention.

2018 L’Anglore Prima 2018 is a smooth red wine with seductive aromas of fresh red fruits, wild flowers and sweet touches. On the palate it is juicy, fruity and crisp. It has a bright acidity and a pleasant finish with a very fragrant aftertaste.
