About Hacienda López de Haro Tempranillo

Hacienda López de Haro Tempranillo is a red wine from DO La Rioja produced by Bodega Classica.

This is a varietal Tempranillo, the typical variety of the area, which has excellent value. The grapes used are selected from vineyards located in the town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. The harvest, which is done manually, takes place between the second and third week of October and is moved to the winery in small trailers and boxes.

Fermentation takes place naturally. Steeping is as static as possible in order to prevent breakage of the skins.

Hacienda López de Haro Tempranillo is aged for about three or four months in new oak barrels. Subsequently, the wine from different barrels is assembled by placing it in a tank with a capacity for 180 thousand litres in order to homogenise. Once complete, the wine spends a period of six months in bottle.

Bodega Classica is designed strategically. It is actually located on top of a mound, which allows a natural air conditioning. The tanks on the other hand, have large mouths as is the traditional method.
