Claus Preisinger Edelgraben Blaufränkisch is a natural red wine produced by Claus Preisinger in Burgenland (Austria) with the native Blaufränkisch variety.
 
Located in the village of Gols by Lake Neusiedlersee, Claus Preisinger is the youngest member of Pannobile, a Burgenland group that champions the unique character of the terroir and local varieties. As the first Austrian winemaker to experiment with orange wines, he is known for producing pure, very expressive wines that are a true reflection of Burgenland.
 
Claus Preisinger Edelgraben Blaufränkisch comes from a vineyard planted with Blaufränkisch, a local variety from the Austro-Hungarian region which is the second most planted red variety in Austria. The vines are rooted in fossil-rich limestone soils and cultivated using methods based on Rudolf Steiner’s biodynamic principles.
 
In the winery, Claus Preisinger Edelgraben Blaufränkisch is made using minimal intervention. This begins with a spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and ends with an aging in used barrels for 6 months.

2017 Claus Presinger Edelgraben Blaufränkisch 2017 is a smooth red wine with intense aromas of red fruit, floral notes and soft hints of spice. On the palate it is flavoursome, fresh and elegant. A wine with marked acidity and balanced, well-integrated tannins.
