On the nose, it unfolds an aromatic spectrum of medium to high intensity, where floral notes are distinctly perceived, combined with the lively scent of lemon and grapefruit, accompanied by subtle herbal nuances. Upon tasting, it offers a gentle entry, revealing itself as a fresh and light wine with perfectly balanced acidity. About Cinco Leguas Rompecepas Blanco

There are edifices that harbour more than one lifetime. The one currently housing Bodegas Cinco Leguas in Chinchón (Madrid) knows this well: it was initially a garment factory, then a sparkling wine cellar, and later a distillery for anise. Each phase left its mark, like layers of history accumulating on ancient stones. And it was here that Marc Isart, a restless and passionate oenologist, arrived to begin a new chapter. His vision was clear: to craft wines that capture the DNA of the place, thirst-quenching wines, honest and full of identity.

From this philosophy emerges Cinco Leguas Rompecepas Blanco, a single-plot wine that brings together the richness of traditional varieties such as malvar, airén, torrontés, and jaén. Old vines, planted five leagues from Madrid, thrive on clay-limestone soils covered with gravel, in an austere and luminous landscape.

The harvest is done by hand, cluster by cluster, meticulously attending to every detail to capture the fruit at its optimal moment. Subsequently, the wine ferments with skins and stems for 7 days, extracting character, structure, and all the vineyard's authenticity. The ageing process extends for 9 months in used 300-litre French oak barrels, which imparts complexity and elegance, without masking the identity of the varieties or the spirit of the terroir.

Cinco Leguas Rompecepas Blanco is a white wine with soul, where freshness intertwines with an enveloping texture and a mineral undertone that speaks of the land. Tradition that endures, character that captivates, and a future inscribed with authenticity.
