About Taanug Blanco

Taanug Blanco is a white wine produced by Bodegues Pinord in Vilafranca de Penedès, D.O.Penedès.

 

Bodegues Pinord is a family-run winery with over 150 years of history in the winemaking industry. In 1942, they built the winery in Vilafranca del Penedès, next to the railway station, just 4 km from the original farm. From there, they sent their wines in bulk all over Spain, and the fact of being near the station made this task easier. The winery had a pipe that went under the tracks to fill the vats of the trains that carried the wine.

Currently, Bodegues Pinord produces wines in different winemaking regions, using organic cultivation. Generation after generation, the philosophy of the Tetas family can summarised as: family tradition, pioneering and innovative spirit, love for the land and passion for good wine.

 

Taanug Blanco is a wine made from Maccabeu, Xarelloand Parellada, following the Kosher parameters (all the production process is supervised by a rabbi, as the codes of the Jewish religion dictate).

Once the grapes are harvested, they go through cold maceration for 24 hours to extract the maximum aromas. After this, they ferment at a low temperature for 21 days.

2017 Taanug Blanco 2017 is a pleasant, light and aromatic white wine. This vintage highlights the aromas of ripe white fruit with memories of Mediterranean flowers. On the palate it is fresh, lively and sincere.
