About Encina del Inglés Blanco

Encina del Inglés Blanco is a dry, fresh and fruity white wine from the D.O. Sierras de Málaga produced by the Finca La Melonera winery. It is a blend of the varieties Moscatel (60%), Forastera (30%) and Pedro Ximénez (10%).

The grape used to make Encina del Inglés Blanco comes from vineyards aged between twelve and fifteen years. The climate is mountainous with significant temperature variations, which, added to the clay-loam soils, brings a specific character to the wine. The fruit harvest is carried out manually, seeking to avoid damaging the grapes. Once in the winery, they undergo pneumatic pressing without their skins and the bunches are left to ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
2016 Encina del Inglés Blanco 2016 is a dry, fruity and fresh white wine. Once again, another vintage with local varieties of the area elegantly shows its fruitiness on the nose. In the mouth, it is round, balanced and long.
