Château La Mission Haut-Brion is a wood-aged red wine made by Château La Mission Haut-Brion with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot red varieties in the prestigious AOC Pessac-Léognan denomination, in Bordeaux (France).
 
Haut-Brion is the oldest and smallest Premier Grand Cru classified Château in Bordeaux. Located in the town of Talence, it dates back to the seventeenth century and has belonged to the American Dillon family since 1953. This is a highly thought of winery with high-quality satellite properties like La Mission Haut-Brion, La Tour Haut Brion and Laville Haut-Brion.
 
La Mission Haut-Brion is an exceptional Premier Grand Cru. A wonderful gravel terrace with a sandy-clay subsoil in an unpredictable microclimate that offers surprises year after year and produces very different vintages. The vines are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture to maintain the natural balance of the terroir and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness. 
 
When it reaches the winery, Château La Mission Haut-Brion is traditionally vinified. It begins with fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a constant controlled temperature and with a 15-day vatting. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels before being bottled. 
 
Château La Mission Haut-Brion is an epic wine that has been awarded 100 Parker points in more than 6 vintages. This is a Premier Grand Cru that wonderfully packs power, character and plenty of elegance.

On the palate it is voluminous and fresh in equal parts. A precise, medium-bodied wine with tannins so supple and agile and acidity so balanced that it is almost total perfection.
2015 Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2015 is a concentrated red wine with an incredibly pure bouquet of ripe small black fruits, mineral notes and subtle floral touches. On the palate it is exuberant, complete and deep. With ripe, silky tannins and bright acidity, this is a wonderfully balanced wine with an elegant mid-palate and a very long finish.
2010 Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2010 is a concentrated red wine with a deep nose of black forest fruits, floral notes of candied violets and red roses and hints of chocolate, cedar and chalk. On the palate it has body, power and hedonism. An explosion of black fruit and floral sparks with exquisite rounded tannins and fresh acidity until the end.
2009 Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2009 is a concentrated red wine with clean aromas of red and black currants, chocolate coated cherries and subtle hints of truffles, wood and coffee. On the palate it reveals a rich, bold and deep body. A wine with a mid-palate full of abundant ripe fruit, with fine and silky tannins, layers of exotic spices and a perfect freshness. The finish is wonderfully long and persistent.
