For Familia Zuccardi, these villages serve as the foundation of their Polígonos project, a collection of wines that seeks to capture the essence of each locale and convey it in the glass.

The winery, established in 1963 by Alberto Zuccardi, has evolved into a benchmark of Argentine viticulture, blending family tradition, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to quality and sustainable production. From its vineyards in Uco Valley, Maipú, and Santa Rosa, Zuccardi has adeptly mirrored in its wines the character of each terroir, always with profound respect for the soil, the climate, and the generations of vintners who have worked it.

Zuccardi Polígonos Gualtallary Malbec is a brilliant example of this approach. Its Malbec grapes hail from the foothills of the Frontal Cordillera, at altitudes between 1200 and 1500 metres, in a temperate and arid climate that transforms the region into a true high-altitude desert. The rugged terrain conceals heterogeneous soils rich in caliche, sand, and stone, which impart minerality and structure to the wine. The vinification respects the natural character of the terroir. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts and the extended ageing in concrete, aiming to extract the maximum expression of the grape without artifice.
