Features

Great Verdejo white wine from Castilla y León from very old pre-phylloxera vines aged of 100-200 years and grown at high altitude.
Organic farming. The grapes are manually harvested and selected. They are maceration in whole bunches, without a previous destemming. They undergo a very soft pressing and only the flower must is used. The wine is fermentation with yeasts. Rest for 9 months on the lees in barrels from different coopers, 40% of which were new, 30% first wine barrels and the rest, second wines barrels.
Due to its complexity, it is recommended to decant and airate this excelent wine for two hours before serving it.
It can aged for a couple of years more, since it has a long life ahead.

Color

Intense golden yellow colour with greenish reflections. Clean and bright wine, with abundant dense tears. Very nice.

Nose

Intense and complex aromas. On first nosing, the notes of ageing are released: fine toasted and spicy aromas (vanilla) with subtle fruity toaches. When it opens up, an explosion of fruit takes place and white fruit and citrus notes are felt along with some tropical fruit nuances. The fruit is mixed with some toasted and smoked notes, aromatic herbs and floral hints on an elegant mineral background.

Flavour

Wide and volume attack and a silky, unctuous, tasty and fresh mid palate. Its notes of fruit are very well integrated with the wooden and mineral aromas. Great acidity and a very long and very persistent finish that leaves bitter and herbal feelings.
A very elegant and serious wine to be enjoyed slowly.
