Features
Definitely one of the best Xarel·lo wines. It is made of grapes from carefully selected vines aged of 54-60 year from four different farms located in different parts of the region of Penedès: Les Gunyoles, Font-Ruby, Pla del Penedès y Subirats. Each vineyards provides the same wine variety with different characteristics according to its location. The grapes undergo a separate winemaking. This wine rests for 8 months in four kind of wood: French oak and American oak, chestnut and acacia.
A pleasure of a wine, which seducts us from the very beginning. Very enjoyable.
Color
Attractive straw yellow colour with golden reflections. Clean and bright wine with dense slow-falling tears.
Nose
A huge explosion of flavours! The notes of fresh and ripe yellow and tropical fruit and juicy citrus and its abundant notes of white fruit (apple, pear) are nuanced by the good roasted aromas, the abundant and elegant smoked notes, the abundant spicy touches, the nuts, the buttery notes and the highlighted touch of toffee. Finally, some notes of delicate herbs are noticed which freshen the set.
Flavour
Wine with a very wide and enveloping wine, that coats the mouth with creamy sensations. The notes felt in the nose become very elegant and fleshy in the palate. Very balanced aromas with a creamy and very tasty mid palate. It shows an excellent acidity and a very long and persistent finish with a nice herbal aftertaste.
