Features
Using grapes harvested by hand, what truly makes this wine special is that both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are effected in new 225 litre, finepore, semi toasted Allier barriques (bought new each vintage) as is subsequent oak-ageing over lees. Bottled only when their winemaker deems it perfect, the finished wine is left to settle in our cool cellars until it is time to be unveiled to the market.
Color
Straw tinged yellow with hints of gold, lustrous, and with no uncertain glycerine density.
Nose
Clean scent, creamy wood nuances of fine lees, with a background plant yet.
Flavour
Excellent entry with an elegant touch, creamy and smoky oak variety and, together with memories of the lees herbs and memories of hay.
