Features Edetana 2009
One of the most interesting and representative wines of the area. A smart and serious wine with a great personality that results from the hard work conducted at the winery. It is made of the three varieties indigenous to the area, from vines aged of 20-40 years, planted in different soils (the most suitable for each variety): the riverbed of an old river full of pebbles for the Hairy Grenache, the "tapàs blanc", a shallow and low fertility soil, for the Carignan and the "tapàs", a heavy clay soil, for the Garnacha.
The winemaking process is carried out separately variety by variety. the wine is fermentation in small tanks and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Once the blend is made, the wine is bottled.
Tasting report Edetana 2009
Color
Bright and deep cherry red colour with maroon edges. Medium-high robe and thin tears.
Nose
Fully harmonious aromas in which the red fruit and some black fruit are released along with soft elegant toasted notes, fragrant flower scents and a wide range of spices, rather creamy, on a discreet but pleasant balsamic background.
Flavour
One of the finest expressions of the wines from Terra Alta. It has a good attack and a wide and embracing mid palate full of creamy and sweety red fruit. It is fresh and tasty and shows sweet tannins and a very good acidity. Perfectly balanced wine with a long and very persistent finish with a fruity aftertaste. Very nice.
