Features

The Tasting Committee of the Control Board of the Designation of Origin Rioja clasified the 2005 harvest as excellent.

Selected vineyards were used, some of which were planted with old vines. After fermentation, maceration took place for 12 days. It was aged for 24 months in French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels and bottled in 2008.

A classic Reserva from Rioja, very smooth and expressive.

Color

Cherry red wine with scarlet trims. Clean and bright. Abundant tears.

Nose

Expressive nose full of ripe red fruit with nuts, wood and rather sweet spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla). Subtle hints of licorice, snuff and pastries appear on a delicate mineral background.

Flavour

Valserrano Reserva is a very tasty and smooth wine. It has a ripe, sweet, velvety and mouth filling mid palate. The notes of red fruits and spices are powerful and expressive. Good presence of tannins. Long and gentle finish.
