Features

One of the great classic wines of Rioja made by a winery which belongs to the group Eguren. It is the only wine produced by them.
It is made of Hairy Tempranillo, a local variety that was almost extincted. Only a selection of vines of reduced performance are used. The wine was produced by a traditional winemaking process, with destemmed grapes and a maceration with the skins for 32 days. It was aged for 20 months in new French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels.
It is recommended to aerate it before serving.
A wine with a great future ahead.

Color

Intense dark cherry colour with maroon touches. Bright and with a high robe. Dense tears.

Nose

In the nose, this wine is a pleasure. This complex wine gains in intensity when swirling the glass. At the first nosing, the notes of caramel, chocolate and spices provided by the wood are noticed. When it opens up, balanced intense notes of red fruit appear and progressively become mellow. Milky notes, balsamic touches, a mineral hint and a nuance of animal leather are also felt.

Flavour

Very broad, powerful, tasty and very expressive red wine from La Rioja. At the first plunge, this voluminous wine coats the mouth with fruit, spices and toasted notes. It has a silky, elegant and mellow mid palate. It has a lively acidity and elegant tannins. Long and lingering finish.
A wine to be enjoyed slowly.
