Features
Great modern style wine made of Tempranillo from very old vines with low yields. Grapes were selected grain by grain. They undergo a long maceration process in the same wooden vats in which the fermentation is performed. Once pressed in a single vertical press, the wine is put into French oak barrels in a controlled-temperature room. Once the malolactic fermentation finishes, the barrels are moved to a controlled-temperature corridor, protected from the outside, where the wine rests for about 18 months. The wine is finally clarified with egg albumin and bottled without any previous filtration.
Limited production, both because of the low grape production and because of the meticulous elaboration process.
It is recommended aerating this wine for at least 30 minutes before serving it.
Different, elegant and powerful red wine, that can be stored for a few years. A wine to discover the best of Baigorri.
Color
Dark and bright, intense maroon cherry colour with maroon edges. A wine with a medium-high robe and elegant tears.
Nose
Very intense and concentrated aromas. On first nose, good toasted and smoked aromas are noticed along with intense notes of spices. When it opens up, notes of very ripe fruit with a touch of liquor are mixed with great balsamic aromas and a touch of cocoa and liquorice.
Flavour
Very bulky, intense and wide attack. A full-bodied, dense and velvety wine, in which the notes of wood gain in intensity. Tasty wine, with a well-balanced acidity. It has slightly drying but still nice tannins. Its very long and persistent finish leaves pleasant hints of wood. An enjoyable wine.
