New vintage of one of the best wines, fruit of a thorough work to recover some local varieties. A new more expressive vintage, with an almost perfect structure.
It is made of old Mencía grapes with a percentage of Mencia from young vines completed with a small percentage of Grenache and Mouraton (7% and 3%) grown on different farms with particular characteristics. Each variety undergoes an entire winemaking process separately. First, the grapes are destemmed. The wine is fermented in French oak barrels and open "foudres". 60% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels of first second adn therd year for 20 months, while the rest is aged in foudres. Once clarified with natural egg white, the wine is bottled and rests in the cellar for 18 months approximately.
It is recommended to decant this great
wine from the Ribera Sacra at least one hour before serving it, in order to be able to appreciate its caracteristics.
This wine can be stored for the next five years.
An elegant, very expressive and enjoyable wine with character.
Attractive cherry colour with intense red edges. Bright and clean wine with a medium-high robe and abundant dense tears.
On its expressive mineral background, juicy, intense and expressive notes of ripe fruit are noticed along with creamy toasted aromas, balsamic hints and fresh notes reminiscent of purple flowers and forest herbs. Once it opens up, some surprising citrus nuances are also released.
Very tasty, expressive and well structured
red wine with a long, full-bodied, velvety and intense mid palate. It is warmer than in the previous vintages and its floral notes are more intense. Its juicy notes of ripe fruit are wrapped in creamy aromas on a very noticeable minerality. Marked acidity and elegant tannins. Great persistence, which leaves a pleasant aftertaste with mineral hints.
An elegant and fresh wine with a great evolution in the glass. An enjoyable wine.
