A great elegant
wine from Priorat, with a nice powerness and the typical style of the area. It is the result of a comprehensive and complete blend which puts together the typical varieties of the region with different percentages of foreign varieties.
It is made of grapes from the youngest vines, aged of 12-20 years, which undergo a separate winemaking process according to the variety and the vineyard. Its malolactic fermentation takes place in steel tanks (50%) and oak barrels (50%). This wine is aged in second and third year 225 l French oak barrels in which it rests for 14 months, with only two rackings all its ageing long. Once bottled, this wine rests in the winery's cellar for 6 months before being marketed.
A wine that can be decanted half an hour before serving it. Nevertheless, as it has a great evolution in the glass, we suggest to discover it slowly as it opens up at its own pace.
A wine that can be tasted now although it will still improve after a few months.
Elegant and powerful wine with the purest expression of Priorat's terroir.
This wine is characterised by its intense, complex and expressive aromas. Before swirling the glass, nothing but intense notes of ripe fruit, with liquor hints, is noticed. Gradually, some light smoked notes appear. When the wine opens up, the fruit becomes more expressive and the toasted aromas become more intense. A great minerality also appears wrapped in sweet spices (vanilla, cocoa and cinnamon) and good notes of undergrowth. Very balanced at the end.
A wine with a soft and bulky attack that gives way to a very intense wine, with notes of fruit and fruit jam with good toasted notes and fresh balsamic aromas. Long and greatly balanced mid palate, with a very silky texture. A tasty and even slightly mellow wine (especially because of the aromas of cocoa, creamy toffee and spices). Very good acidity that balances the whole set and ripe and well integrated tannins. Long finish with a great persistence. A very nice, mature and serious
red wine. Very round.
