Finca Dofí Crianza 2007

This wine by the winery Alvaro Palacios is the essence of the land of Priorat. It is very carefully elaborated,with vineyards of different characteristics according to location and soil, among others. It is made of 55% Grenache, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Selective and manual harvest. Fermentation and ageing in (nearly new) French oak barrels.

Dark intense cherry red colour and a good robe. Clean and bright wine with abundant and dense glyceric legs.

Finca Dofí has a complex and powerful aromatic range. The intense expression of fruit is accompanied with mineral (slate soils), floral, roasted coffee, chocolate and spicy notes and touches of black olive. Aromas released in a very elegant way.

Wide and hard attack and tasty, smooth and fine mid palate. High expression of fruit together with licorice and fine creamy notes. Very well balanced, with lively acidity that provides it with freshness. Long and lingering aftertaste.
