Features Alzania Finca La Moneda 2008

Alzania Finca La Moneda 2008 is made from grapes from the plantation surrounding the winery. Its name comes from a roman coin that was found many years ago while working the land. This wine is a blend of Merlot, Syrah and Grenache. The grapes are vinified separately and aged for 12 months in barrels (70% French oak, 20% American oak and 10% Caucasian oak) of 1, 2 and 3 years of age. The wine is not clarified and only receives cold stabilization before being bottled.

Tasting report Alzania Finca La Moneda 2008

Ruby red colour, intense, high robe.

Intensely aromatic. Balsamic, spicy notes prevail at first and then give way to ripe red fruit and intriguing roasted aromas.

Good attack. Elegant and velvety on the palate. Good acidity which keeps the wine fresh and lively. Some well-integrated ripe tannins. Long and persistent finish. A very enjoyable red wine from Navarra.
