Features

Ètim 2009 is one of the Montsant wines with the best value for money. Without any doubt, this is a good opportunity to discover wines from this area.
It is made of a blend of two native varieties (Grenache and Carignane) with a short percentage of Syrah, a variety that has very well adapted to this region. All the vineyards are aged of 20-50 years and planted in different kind of soils.
The harvest and the winemaking take place separately. After fermentation and maceration for 15 days, the wine undergoes a malolactic fermentation after which the final blend is made. Then, the wine lies in new American and French oak barrels for 6 months. It undergoes a clarification with egg albumin and a cold stabilization.
This is a wine that can be enjoyed at anytime.

Color

Intense cherry red with purple reflections. Clean and bright. Abundant tears.

Nose

Intense, complex aromas. Initially, the red and black fruit takes centre stage. When it opens up, the fruit becomes more intense and good roasted notes emerge along with some sweet spices. Its subtle balsamic aromas provide the wine with a good freshness.

Flavour

Wine with a wide attack and a dense and silky mid palate. Its notes of fruit and toasted aromas are released along with spicy touches which fill the mouth. Its tannins are marked but pleasant and it shows a correct acidity. Very balanced wine with a very nice long and persistent finish.
A very tasty, elegant and excellent Montsant wine with an modern character.
