Features

This young wine from DO Campo de Borja is the youngest expression of Grenache and Syrah from the region. It is marked by its aromatic power and intensity. This wine is made of grapes from their own vineyards, "Los Blanquizales" and "Rincón de la Corona". The manual vendange was conducted in advance during the second week of September 2010, due to the heat. The grapes were foot-crushed before a maceration process that took place in open vats for 4 days. Both the maceration and the fermentation were carried out simultaneously during the following five days. The malolactic fermentation natural process took place in tanks. Natural stabilisation during the winter.

Color

Pagos del Moncayo shows a deep and intense ruby colour, with hints of violet. Clean and bright. Dense tears.

Nose

Intense aromas. The concentrated notes of very ripe red fruit are noticed along with substantially spicy notes, a soft minerality and fine and fresh herbal touches.

Flavour

Gentle attack. Sweet, fleshy and vigorous mid palate with notes of fruit and spicy which appear again in the mouth. Ripe tannins. Good finish.

A very expressive young wine.
