Features
Veraton is the latest of the wines produced by Jorge Ordoñez within the Designation of Origin Campo de Borja, hand by hand with the Australian winemaker Chris Ringland. It is made of the most expressive Grenache grapes from old vines. Aged for 17 months in French oak barrels. A wine true to its style.
Wine with great ageing potential.
Color
Intense dark cherry colour with purple reflections. Bright. Abundant dense tears.
Nose
Intense and powerful aromas. A huge amount of sensations ranging from balsamic, spicy, creamy smoky and toasted aromas to the typical notes of chocolate and coffee provided by the wood, are displayed on a stunning background of sweetish ripe black fruit. Its subtle mineral touches complete its aromatic complexity.
Flavour
Too large, powerful and warm attack that fills the mouth. Velvety, fresh, intense and sweet mid palate. Very fruity but with well integrated notes of wood. Fine and ripe tannins. Balanced, elegant, expressive and full bodied wine. Long, lingering aftertaste. It is the maximum expression of the Grenache.
