Features Dominio de Tares Cepas Viejas 2008

This new vintage is characterized by providing a hit of ripe fruit and elegance to its structure. 
Wine made of a selection of vines older than 60 years, planted on shale slopes. The fermentation is carried out at 30ºC. Malolactic fermentation is entirely completed in American oak barrels while the wine is aged in new and second year American and French oak barrels, for 9 months.

Color

Intense cherry colour with high robe.

Nose

Expressive and intense aromas. The aromas of leather come along with notes of fruits, especially of berries jam. Some minerality is noticed with some touches of toast and spices.

Flavour

This wine from Bierzo has a very broad and nice attack, a mid palate full of fruit, spices and chocolates and an excellent acidity that rounds the wine out. It has a good minerality, ripe and round tannins and a long, persistent finish. A sweet, delicate and elegant wine.
