Features
Great champagne which reflects the Mesnil at its utmost expression. It is made of Chardonnay from three very old vines located in Mesnil-sur-Oger. Its minerality is fully expressed in this vintage.
It must be highlighted that this champagne is only produced in great vintages.
Dosing: 5-6 g / l.
Elegant champagne, with a good storage capacitiy, that will improve over the years.
Color
Pale golden yellow with thin greenish reflections typical of the Chardonnay. Bright. Abundant small bubbles which form a persistent crown.
Nose
Very expressive, fine and complex aromas. At the beginning, notes of white flowers, citrus peel and fresh almonds are noticed. Later, a hint of bakery and spices and a touch of butter are also released on an elegant mineral background (with the chalk typical of the terroir of Mesnil) which gains in nuances as it opens up.
Flavour
Pierre Peters Les Chétillons 2004 is the ultimate expression of the minerality of Mesnil. Very good attack, with notes of citrus, nuts and white flowers in the foreground and a honeyed and milky touch in the mid palate. It shows a persistent and elegant minerality. Very good acidity, well integrated, which provides a great freshness to this champagne. Very long and persistent finish with a marked and elegant minerality and nuances of white fruit.
Excellent and very elegant Grande Cuvée. One of the greatest.
