Features
The most sublime Krug, made of Pinot Noir only, from a very small estate of only 0'68 ha (a third of Clos-du-Mesnil) with exceptional characteristics.
The 1995 vintage was harvested on 1st October 1995 after a year marked by lots of sunshine, which allowed a great ripeness. After the first fermentation in small wooden casks in which it is distributed according to the vineyard from which it comes, this champagne rests for 12 years in the winery in order to achieve the ultimate expression of Pinot Noir.
Very limited production: 3,000 bottles aprox (about eleven 200 l barrels).
A luxury! Very elegant, very fine and complex champagne. One of the greatest champagnes.
Color
Intense golden colour with subtle copper reflections. Very bright. Elegant and with very fine bubbles.
Nose
Delicate flavours which gain in intensity. The ripe fruit is mixed with fresh and creamy notes of toasted. Very aromatic.
A champagne which leaves unforgettable memories.
Flavour
An extraordinary pleasure! Magnificent and fresh harmony of red berries, and toasted almonds with notes of brioche and spices which fill the mouth with fresh and lively sensations. Elegant and very persistent finish.
A mature and lively champagne, very seductive and elegant. A great pleasure!
