Bodegas Viña Magaña began with the dream of creating a new wine, different and surprising. It departed from a land where no one bet: poor, arid but rich in minerals, where the strain suffered. Introduced new strains, then unauthorized from the best producing areas of France, which today makes it to some of the oldest strains of noble varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc ...

Bodegas Viña Magaña began with the dream of creating a new wine, different and surprising. It departed from a land where no one bet: poor, arid but rich in minerals, where the strain suffered. Introduced new strains, then unauthorized from the best producing areas of France, which today makes it to some of the oldest strains of noble varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, etc ... During these more than 30 years, Bodegas Viña Magaña had managed to more than 100 hectares of own vineyards, the grapes that leave all their wines, and a fleet of between 900 and 1000 French oak barrels. For the preparation of their wines have a characteristic of the modern architect Navarro, Rafael Moneo. His marks-Viña Magaña, Baron de Magaña, Dignus, turn and finally Calchetas, are present in the shops and restaurants on the high of more than 30 countries around the world and have been chosen by prominent institutions and companies such as Casa Real, the airline Iberia, the Intercontinental and Sheraton hotel chains, or personalities as relevant as the Dalai Lama, on his stay in Spain or Indurain to celebrate their victories in the Tour de France. Therefore, Bodegas Viña Magaña has received, among others, the "Illustrious Winery 1986" of the Order of Good Wine, recognition in 1995 for his work and contribution to improving the quality of wines by the Club of Somelliers of Navarre, and the "Gold Award" given to the best wine in the celebration of the VIII Mesón Great wine by its Spanish brand Viña Magaña.
