Coming from a family of wine growers in the coastal village of Pedrosa de Duero, Burgos, Carmelo Rodero belongs to the fourth generation of winemakers. His grandparents produced wine in the classic and antique presses, until the founding of the Cooperativa Vinícola de Pedrosa de Duero, in which their grandparents were founders.

His grandparents produced wine in the classic and antique presses, until the founding of the Cooperativa Vinícola de Pedrosa de Duero, in which their grandparents were founders. Continuing with the Carmelo Rodero career, began cultivating vineyards belonging to his family for a few years later decided to disassociate itself from it, and with 50 hectares of vineyards, started selling their grapes to the mythical Bodega Vega Sicilia for 14 years. In 1990 began his own journey. Bet on the future and knowing that the quality of a great wine grapes good passes, so RODERO Cellars is proud that since its first preparation in 1991, all its wines have won prizes at fairs and tastings most important both domestic and international, providing a contrast and recognition of its quality. Carmelo Rodero supported by his wife Elena is going to see continued his entrepreneurial action thanks to the incorporation of his daughters Maria Beatriz and very involved in the project. Beatrix, her eldest daughter, Graduate in Agricultural Engineering (specializing in viticulture) and studies in enology in Bordeaux.
